Mexican President Felipe Calderón has signed into law the new money laundering legislation that we have covered in an earlier article on this blog*. In essence the new law prohibits paying cash for real estate transactions over the equivalent of $80,000, and vehicle purchases over the Peso equivalent of $16,000.
