FORMER JUDGE ENGAGED IN MICHAEL FLYNN CASE AS AMICUS CURAE FILES HIS BRIEF

Readers who are following United States vs. Michael Flynn may wish to review the Amicus brief filed by former Judge John Gleeson, to assist in the Court's decision in a case where the defendant has pled guilty twice, and the US Attorney now seeks to dismiss all charges for blatantly political reasons.

The issues that are framed in the Brief are:

1. The Court has the authority to deny the Government's Motion for Leave to Dismiss.
2. The Court should deny the Government's Motion for Leave to Dismiss.
3.  The Court should consider the Defendant Michael Flynn's Perjury in sentencing him on the False Statements Offence, rather than issuing an Order to Show Cause.

You may review the 82-page brief here. The Case Number is 1:17-000232-EGS (DDC).
