Police investigators in Malaysia are reportedly seeking the father and mother of the fugitive 1MDB mastermind, Jho Low, who faces criminal charges in both Malaysia and the United States. Both parents are missing and believed to have fled Malaysia to avid criminal prosecution; his father, Low Hock Peng, has already been indicted, and the mother. Goh Gaik Ewe is a Person of Interest, and is wanted to assist in the investigation.
Are the parents St Kitts CBI passport holders ? The inability of the police to locate them raises the presumption that Jho, when he obtained his CBI passport, acquired passports for his parents as well. Legal observers believe that Jho, a fugitive from justice, may be in transit to St Kitts, where he cannot be extradited. While SKN reportedly deactivated his passport, after the 1MDB scandal broke, it is believed that he is using it for travel purposes, and that his illicit wealth will guarantee his admission to St Kitts, if and when he arrives there.
