Inner City Media, which intensely covers SDNY cases, has joined the Associated Press in calling for the right of press access to the 1400 pages of evidence submitted to the Court by the US Attorney's Office. The ICP email detailed all the recent SDNY cases where the Court upheld the media's right of access, even when National Security issues were present. Some of the prior decisions were summarized by the ICP. See the information below.
We stillare asking the most important question to come out of he Sadr case: Are there names of additional Targets and Persons of Interest in those 1400 pages ? Is that why several senior AUSAs have gome to great pains to seek sealing of the documents ? What is so important about admitting that their staff, again, have violated Brady vs. Maryland , or is there something else ?
