It may just be a sign of the times, or the fact that the Halkbank case is considered by most legal observers to be the most important pending Iran sanctions evasion case, but the Court, Sua Sponte, has reminded the Government of its obligations under Brady ( disclosure of favorable evidence to the Defence) and Giglio ( information about a witness' agreements with the Prosecution). The Court further detailed the possible sanctions which it could impose for willful violations.
The Halkbank case is presently scheduled t go to trial on May 3, 2021.
