GOVERNMENT AGREES ON ALI SADR DISMISSAL PROCEDURE

The US Attorney's Office in New York has notified the trial judge in the Ali Sadr Hashemeninejad case that it now agrees with defense counsel that the Court may follow the Criminal Procedure Rules they cite to vacate the jury verdict. It did not, however, concede that its attorneys acted in Bad Faith, or intentionally withheld exculptory information. It did agree that the case can be dismissed without reaching a determination on Bad Faith, or holding an evidentiary hearing on the topic.
