The Chief Judge of the US District Court in Guam has denied the motions of attorneys for the arrested Russian hacker, Roman Seleznev, to release him, and to dismiss the pending Federal charges against him, and ordered him turned over US Marshals, for transport to the Continental United States. The Court ruled that it only had jurisdiction to determine whether he was the individual sought by the US Attorney in the Western District of Washington, in the extradition proceeding.
Seleznev's lawyers will have to argue their claims of governmental misconduct to the trial judge in his Federal case in Seattle. The Russian Government has protested the circumstances of his arrest in the Maldives.
