The President of the United States has signed an Executive Order blocking all property and interests of the Government of Venezuela that are in the United States, as well as any property in the hands of US residents that is found to have materially provided support to any person on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list.
The Order also authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to block the assets and interests of any person the Secretary determines is acting on behalf of any person whose interests are blocked, pursuant to this Order, and allows the blocking of entry into the United States, of any person so named or designated. This may operate as a total ban on US entry of Venezuelans linked to the Government, or their facilitators.
