ALI SADR'S ATTORNEYS TO SEEK POST-TRIAL RELIEF FOR LATE PRODUCTION OF DISCOVERY

The defense firm representing Ali Sadr Hasheminejad has requested, and the Court granted, a two-week extension to file post-trial motions. As you know, the Government ended up furnishing discovery late, actually after the trial was concluded. Obviously, the defense will be looking for some advantage due to the Government's failure; whether that rises to the level of a new trial we cannot say, but the defense is seeking to hold the Government to account for and disadvantages the defense had, due to the failure to timely deliver discovery.

Read defense counsel's letter, and the Court's short-form Order, below.(two pages).
