AN OPEN LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER MIA MOTTLEY REGARDING YOUR FAILURE TO REIGN IN SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION

Dear Madam Prime Minister:

The nation that you are presiding over, Barbados, is fatally infected with corruption. Land fraud, on an unbelievable scale, has resulted in the theft of the patrimony of the real estate holdings of many of the old-line original families of your country, by corrupt government officials, thieving attorneys, and other members of the power elite, many of whom have been fleecing the public for generations.

Unless you establish a National Commission for Recovery and Reparation, such as has been established in neighboring St. Lucia, to return those stolen properties to their rightful owners, or their heirs, injustice will continue to dominate Bajan life and society. As the elected leader, you are duty bound to ensure that meaningful corrections, and reforms, are instituted, forthwith.

Should you fail to discharge your sacred responsibilities, and clean up Barbados' real estate nightmare, the rising public outcry, and international disgrace, may force a radical solution upon your government that will result in international criminal charges being brought against the Bajan leadership, and other action which will result in Barbados becoming a pariah, or a failed state, in the eyes of the democratic world.

Please govern yourself accordingly.
