The US Attorney in New York has requested an additional 30 days to respond to the Iranian sanctions evader Ali Sadr Hasheminejad's Motion for a Judgment of Acquittal/Motion for a New Trial. The Government has taken a number of steps to remediate the late delivery of Discovery, and it has explained, in a detailed three-page letter, a number of reasons for the delays, including the infection of a staff member working on the case with COVID-19.
