CLASS ACTION FILED IN MIAMI AGAINST CHINA AND ITS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES FOR CORONAVIRUS NEGLIGENCE

A group of South Florida residents have filed a class action lawsuit, against the Peoples' Republic of China, and five of its government agencies and administrative bodies, regarding the spread of the Coronavirus, alleging that China is liable for :
(1) Negligence,
(2) Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress.
(3) Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress.
(4) Strict Liability for Conducting an Ultrahazardous Activity.
(5) Public Nuisance.

The allegations state that either government-modified viruses were negligently released to the public, or that deceased laboratory animals, infected with COVID-19, were sold to the public in a market in Wuhan, instead of being destroyed, as required by law. The style of the case is Logan Alters, et al vs. Peoples' Republic of China, et al, filed in US District Court for the Southern District of Florida,  Case No.: 20-cv-21108 (Ungaro).
