Remember my recent article detailing Peruvian counterfeiting of US currency ? We now know the entry point for these bogus bills. A trusted source has advised that a skilled Peruvian counterfeiting ring has delivered a large number of bogus one hundred dollar bills to South Florida. The gang, which is led by a Peruvian family of Chinese origin, apparently has ramped up their operation of late.
The latest legitimate edition of the bill, which was recently released, has additional anti-counterfeiting features, and this may have stimulated the counterfeiters to print and distribute their version. American bankers, govern yourselves accordingly.
