The identity of the individual whose name was pointedly redacted from articles detailing the "personal relationship" between Maltese MP ROSIANNE CUTAJAR and Yorgen Fenech, in connection with Cutajar's strong objections to a Council of Europe inquiry into the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia deserves to be disclosed, for our Malta expats residing outside the Republic. The global public abroad deserves to be informed of all the players in the corruption investigation.

The person whose identity was ordered suppressed is DIANE IZZO, CEO of Dizz Group,  described as a "well-known businesswoman," and whose numerous text messages with Fenech, in connection with Cutajar's efforts to derail a C of E report requiring a public inquiry into the Daphne assassination, confirmed their close links, which were improper, given her status as a Politically Exposed person (PEP), as an associate of Michelle and Joseph Muscat, as well as her diplomat husband.

 

Malta's open secret, which local media has declined to report on: all of her luxury fashion shops are almost always empty, and yet ... there are sky-high sales. Given her relationship with Fenech, whether their finances intersect remains an open question. We will be following all developments in the investigation as they unfold; stay tuned.
