Efforts by government investigators to ascertain why millions of dollars is missing from the records of the St. Kitts & Nevis Development Bank has thus far been unsuccessful. Accounts of what has disappeared vary between seven and twenty million dollars, according to conflicting reports from Basseterre, the capital of the two island nation, whose controversial Citizenship by Investment (CBI) sales program has sold passports to global international financial criminals. There is little or no transparency in St. Kitts regarding the ultimate disposition of payments to government arising out of CBI investments.
Many of the real estate investments in St.Kitts, which provide purchasers with SKN passports, allowing visa-free entry into the EU and UK, have gone unfinished, and can be seen decaying throughout the country, which was the scene of a recent visit by US Government Treasury officials, concerned about the lack of due diligence investigations of passport applicants.
According to public records, the directors of the bank are: SHAVON DOUGLAS, SOPHIA LAWRENCE, KAREN CROSSMAN, CAMILLA WILLIAMS, BLYDEN BRUDY and KELVINA SALTERS.
