We covered JOHN HANAFIN, sanctioned by OFAC for Russian sanctions violations, earlier this year, in the article entitled GRENADA ALLOWS DODGY OFAC-SANCTIONED INDIVIDUAL TO SELL ITS ECONOMIC CITIZENSHIPS (September 14. 2024);https://rijock.blogspot.com/2024/09/grenada-allows-dodgy-ofac-sanctioned.html .
We note that, five days later, the Grenada Investment Migration Authority (IMA) notified the investing public that Mr. Hanafin's UAE-based company, HURIYA PRIVATE FZE LEE, had it application denied. Question: was the company first approved by the IMA, and then its application subsequently denied after the OFAC action, with the denial backdated to show that it was never approved? Was this an effort Nunc Pro Tunc?
