Several members of the Knesset, Israel's Parliament, have reportedly delivered a letter to the Ambassador of Norway to Israel, calling attention to the funding of what they describe as an NGO acting as a terrorist organization by the Government of Norway. HaMoked, an Israel-based organization also known as The Center for the Defense of the Individual is alleged to have provided support for terrorist activities and for violent resistance against Israel, according to the letter.
It is claimed that funding is provided by the Royal Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Refugee Council, which together have contributed a large percentage of the funding that Hamoked has received. The NGO's public statements assert that it supports individual human rights and humanitarian law violation. it also engages in litigation on behalf of Palestinian causes.
