SEXUAL OFFENDER WHO FLED THE UNITED STATES FOR SAINT LUCIA HAD TO COMPLETE A MANDATORY REHABILITATION IN LIEU OF A PRISON SENTENCE

The Saint Lucian national, who was living in North Carolina, DYLAN MAURICETTE, was sentenced to 5-15 months' imprisonment, for sexual offenses, which was stayed whilst he served 24 month's Probation, and satisfactorily complete a program of rehabilitation. By fleeing the United States, he has violated the terms of his Probation, by relocating abroad without court permission, and by now being unable to complete " a prescribed course of psychiatric, psychological, or other rehabilitative treatment as order by the Court."


We have previously published the outstanding order for his arrest. He was originally charged with five counts; his Plea Agreement allows him to enter a guilty plea to a single count. he has violated the terms of his Probation, through unlawful flight out of the United States, where he cannot serve his probation.
