The Caribbean is buzzing over the latest media interview of TERRANCE DREW, the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts & Nevis. Drew, who also holds the important portfolio of Minister of Finance, National Security, Citizenship and Immigration, told the interviewer that applications for economic passports that were pending from Chinese-owned CARIBBEAN GALAXY GROUP, regarding the now-discredited prison construction project, were continuing to be processed and approved.
Given the strong position of the Department of State of the United States, which has warned that, given the national security threats that SKN Citizenship by Investment passport sold to Chinese nationals pose as they are sold without any due diligence performed on applicants, will the United States now totally block the issuance of new visas for Saint Kitts & Nevis citizens? We know that student visa issuance, for attendance at US universities, has for all intents and purposes ground to a halt; will visitor and business visas now follow suit, because Galaxy passports are continuing to be processed and issued.
