Readers who have been following my prior articles regarding the Caribbean state's long and sordid history of avaricious attorneys, entrusted with the probate of the estates of deceased landowners, who steal property from the estates, and sell it to foreign developers, have previously seen my reference to the case of Bajan JOHN WAYNE SCANTLEBURY. Like many in his situation, he has been blowing his horn for years, trying to get justice for his family.
As a heir to a substantial fortune in Barbados real estate, John has publicized his legal plight for years online, and through emails, futile efforts in the courts, direct appeals to judges, government officials, private attorneys, judges, and anyone who will listen. Real estate owned by his ancestors was illegally diverted by unscrupulous and unhinged lawyers; deeds were forged and altered. Files were deliberately lost, his ancestors' precious records taken and never returned, and as the direct result, his patrimony was forever lost.
A large number of Barbados lawyers have been implicated; some have gone on to become judges, others to prominent positions in government. The bottom line is that justice has not been served in his case, as has occurred in. dozens of other Bajan families. I invite you to review the documents attached to this article; I will be publishing additional evidence bin the coming weeks. if you have any information, let me know documents, recollection or stories that might assist him to obtaining justice, kindly contact me at: miamicompliance@gmail.com.
Barbados' victims need the passage of legislation tolling the old Statute of limitations on probate fraud claims, so that victims like John Scantlebury can refile their grievances in a court of law, and secure relief. Support these efforts, so that the dozens of Bajan victims whose trusted lawyers cheated them out of their inheritances can be required to return the properties, pay damages and make restitution to them. Make the criminals pay for their crimes, and see that justice is served.
