THE CURRENT RUSSIA/UKRAINE SITUATION IS CAUSING PANIC WITHIN JOSEPH MUSCAT'S CIRCLE

The unexplained deaths of Oligarchs with Kremlin connections, and the seizure of their global assets has frightened Muscat and his inner circle. They know that collaborators, conspirators and foreign agents working for the Kremlin are normally disposed of in times of trouble, lest they testify against their paymasters. Whatever ultimately happens to Russia, it won't be good for JM and his close associates.

One source inside PL reports that JM is taking extra security precautions. Others in the JM inner circle are governing themselves accordingly; ALEX MUSCAT has not been seen in public for two days. he is obviously keeping a low profile, since the announcement that there will be no further CBI passports issued to Russian nationals.

Another reliable Malta source has advised that certain financial professionals, linked to PL leaders, who have performed corporation formation for Russian clients are destroying hard copies of some of their documents, and deleting their electronic versions, in what can only be described as obstruction of justice. Obviously, they fear being exposed in the press as facilitators of Russian Oligarchs who support Putin financially and politically.

The other issue which has surfaced is whether any Labour Party members are engaged in gathering intelligence for Russia's GRU, its intelligence agency. Yesterday, a Spanish journalist was arrested in Poland, and charged with espionage. The cooperation between IIM staff and officials and the Russian Embassy has long been suspected of crossing the line into intelligence activity against the EU, UK and US, and we are currently investigating this issue, for an upcoming article.
