Take a close look at all the indicia of an emerging threat in the Eastern Caribbean, coming from criminal elements in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to understand why the United States Government considers the present situation to constitute a National Security threat to America. This week, President Donald Trump banned visits to the United States by Nigerian government officials and leaders.
Consider these facts:
(1) The high profile visit of the corrupt Nigerian President BOLA AHMED TINUBU to Saint Lucia; Tinubu was involved in narcotics trafficking, a highway construction scandal involving his son, and other issues that resulted in his being one of the five finalists in the media contest for Corrupt Person of the year for 2025.
(2) The significant influence, at LIAT and in Antigua & Barbuda, of ALLEN ONYEMA, the CEO of the Nigerian Airline Air Peace, wanted and a fugitive from justice in the USA from Federal charges of money laundering and bank fraud.
(4) The award of visa-free entry into the Eastern Caribbean states of Nigerian nationals. Given that Nigeria has major problems with uncontrolled corruption, runaway money laundering, and rampant white collar crime specifically targeting Americans, the free movement of criminal elements from Nigeria into the region is a direct threat to the United States.
We shall be focusing upon these and other threats originating from Nigeria and targeting the Eastern Caribbean states, as our sources have confirmed significant concern on the part of American law enforcement agencies and governmental organizations.
