This is to notify our readers that I have received a letter threatening civil litigation against me for continuing to report on the lawsuit pending against HAMILTON RESERVE BANK of Nevis. The letter, which was sent from Thomas J. Ali, Esquire, a Florida attorney representing the bank and Benjamin Way, via email, giving me five days to retract the information in my articles, and claiming that I have defamed both the bank and Mr. Way. This is an obvious effort to interfere with my reporting of the Nevis cases, which I have covered in detail reporting on the findings of facts and conclusions of law. As the defense to allegations of defamation as truth, I hereby decline to retract my published articles, and I will not be tendering an apology for reporting the truth.
