By now, our readers have all seen the graphic images, and copies of the checks, but there is far more to the story, which we hasten to detail, here and in future articles. Royal St. Lucia Police Commissioner Verne Garde has declined to confirm or deny reports why Richard Frederick was briefly detained by the incompetent and corrupt goons he dispatched to arrest him.
Common sense, and protocol, would dictate that a government minister well known to the public, whom the police would need to question on any matter does not warrant a visit to a police station; any experienced professional and ethical investigator, mindful of his rank, would simply knock at their target’s door and ask the questions they seek, soliciting only a yes or a no from the person in question. The motives by those corrupt and incompetent Royal St. Lucia Police “so called” Police investigators are obviously politically suspect, ill-defined and very suspicious.
At the end of the day, Chief Verne Garde is the problem, as he utilizing his corruption and power to operate on behalf of the SLP government headed by PM Phillip Jean Pierre to ostracize and alienate minister Richard Frederick from the political scene altogether.
The mega question is why is Phillip Jean Pierre so afraid of Richard Frederick? As we noted last year at a meeting of politicians, PJP was clearly intimidated by Frederick; we wonder how much incriminating evidence he possesses about Garde's corrupt operation, all ordered by Pierre, and whether he intends to deliver it to outside law enforcement agencies; Stay tuned.
