An email this morning from a reader in Poland reminded me that the counterfeit Venezuelan government bond scam is alive and well in the European Union. The originals of those bonds were cashed in years ago, and these color copies are being hawked to unsuspecting marks. Do Not trust ANY Venezuelan bonds, or purported official financial instruments, that assert that they are valid obligations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
