SEIZED B747 FREIGHTER, USED BY IRGC AND HEZBOLLAH, ARRIVES IN MIAMI, PURSUANT TO CIVIL FORFEITURE ORDER

The B747-300M aircraft (EP-MND)*, formerly owned by the sanctioned Iranian airline MAHAN AIR, and seized in Argentina in 2022, on orders of an American Federal Court, has arrived in Miami. The airliner, which has special cargo capacity, was formerly used by Mahan Air to transport IRGC troops and munitions to Syria and Lebanon, and was also used to supply Hezbollah with arms and ammunition.

In the custody of the Venezuelan carrier, ENTRASUR CARGO (YV-3531), who took possession in violation of US law, the aircraft is presently being stored at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport (ICAO designation TNT), in the Florida Everglades. For those unfamiliar with this airfield, it originally was constructed for the Boeing B2707 supersonic transport, which was never built. The airport never entered commercial service, and it is currently used to train air transport pilots on touch and goes ( landings & takeoffs).
