FEDERAL COURT DELAYS SENTENCING FOR BVI PORTS DIRECTOR UNTIL AFTER EX-PREMIER ANDREW FAHIE'S MIAMI TRIAL

In what we must assume is a move to insure that she will testify against former British Virgin Islands Premier ANDREW FAHIE at his upcoming money laundering, narcotics trafficking and racketeering trial, ex-BVI Ports Director OLEANVINE MAYNARD's sentencing has now been postponed until January 18, 2024. Fahie is scheduled to go to trial on January 8th of next year; he is the only co-defendant who has not changed his plea, a position which has been questioned by many legal observers as curious, given that the evidence against him appears to be overwhelming. Fahie faces the testimony of an undercover agent, reams of video and audio surveillance, and being caught red-handed accepting money to allow whom he believed were narcotics traffickers move drugs through the BVI enroute to the United States. He could very well spend the rest of his life in Federal Prison. If he has a viable defense, it is nowhere to be seen. His efforts to have the court identify a CI is the only tactic seend in court filings.

Shortly after his arrest, Fahie was rumored to be prepared to offer the names of a number of other senior East Caribbean officials also engaged in facilitating the transit of cocaine through the region, to mitigate his eventual sentence, but he strangely has continued to have his attorney defend the case. He would be well advised to rethink his strategy, in our humble opinion, as this case most likely will not end well for the former leader of the BVI,whose recorded admissions and declarations against interest will be difficult, if not impossible, to explain unless he testifies, which is never a sound idea when one has stated on camera that he has other prior uncharged criminal conduct, which could impeach him to a jury. It is possible that he fears for his physical safety, or that of others, should he cooperate.

Whether the other co-defendant who pled out, KADEEM MAYNARD, Oleanvine's son, will also have his scheduled sentencing delayed is not yet known, but is expected.
