Rumours that attorney Muscat's death was not a due to the actions of third parties have been soundly discounted. He was only 43 years old, in sound health, and deeply involved in his work, prosecuting money laundering in Malta. Suicide as the government's suspected cause of death has been seen as a feeble attempt at damage control by the ruling Labour Party, seeking to control potential public outrage.
Insiders with contacts in the Office of the Attorney General have related that Prosecutor Muscat's suspension from work was based solely upon trumped-up allegation of processional misconduct, created by AG Victoria Buttigieg, a known crony of ex-PM Joseph Muscat. The deceased was, according to these sources, who worked with him one a daily basis, being told how to prosecute money laundering cases.
Malta watchers in the EU are openly fearing a cover-up by the Malta Police Force, especially in the release of autopsy and toxicology reports. We shall continue to access our sources, and report back to our readers on the unfolding developments of a nonpublic nature.
