Welcome to Malta under the Labour Government.  It looks like Charles Dickens's
A Tale of Two Cities all over again. Dickens opens the novel with a sentence
 that has become famous:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was
the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before
us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way." In
short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest
authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative
 degree of comparison only.

A Tale of Two Cities is a 1859 drama, set in London and Paris before and during
the French Revolution. You can swap "cities" with monuments. During the Dom
Mintoff era, a monument to ''peace'' was erected in Qormi, but everyone took it for
a hanged man executed for his deeds. Of course it was not a monument to piece
but a cryptic message to the masses by the regime - if you mess up with me you'll
be dead in the name of Socialist peace or paradise.

The Socialist government erected another monument in one of the useless highways
built by EU funds. It features Lucifer in his sinister glory close to Mount Carmel
Psychiatric Hospital where political prisoners and opponents of the regime are
poisoned, perhaps to death. The regime says that this monument is The Guardian
Angel of Malta; It is not lying. Yes, Joseph Muscat sold his soul to the Evil One,
and is fully living Charles Dickens' opening sentence in his novel.

The Labour government made a monument to the fallen Angel Lucifer without any
shame, with a superlative degree of pride and with cunning.  From now onward,
everyone who uses this highway in Malta on his way towards one of  the island's
holiest places - the grotto of the Apostle Saint Paul who baptized the islanders to
Christ,  may bow to Muscat's Lord - Satan.  Indeed, the fallen Angel was placed in
a roundabout facing directly Rabat, the adjacent city of Medina where the cathedral
dedicated to the Apostle of the Gentiles is built.

This is not Morocco or Saudi Arabia but Medina and its sister city Rabat, which are
situated in Malta, which is an EU country that sells passports to Gulf Sheiks.  This is
Malta, whose church and state are boasting to welcome the Pope in these precise
places where Joseph Muscat insults directly with his monuments.  More to come,
 my friends.
