If you have read the material regarding issues concerning whether some of the violent anti-Israel protest organizations are receiving funding from abroad, it might be time for your to check your client lists to rule out that such payments are passing into through your bank. We saw this week that there are concerns that the "student" organizations claiming to be in support of Palestinians are well-funded, though their funding sources are not transparent.
Given the knowledge that propaganda operations from Russia and China are hard at work in the United States, attempting to sow discord among Americans on a number of issues, you can expect that bad nonstate actors are funding "student groups" that are, in truth and in fact, paid for elements hostile to the United States, and most likely sanctioned entities. Check out very carefully the funding sources of any organization which is a current bank customer that has no legal status, but which is active and vocal with its anti-Israel agenda. You do not want to be surprised later if law enforcement reveals sources of funds that should not have been accepted by your compliance department.
