The US Attorney's Office in South Florida has responded to the Court's Standing Discovery Order in the money laundering case against the former British Virgin Islands premier, ANDREW FAHIE, and the response recites that the Government has over eight thousand minutes of "audio/video files (such as recorded meetings and phone calls)... phone and computer data, WhatsApp communications...."
Obviously, the law enforcement sting contains all the surveillance data, which is extensive, but it also includes telephone call information from cellphones belonging to the other two co-defendants, OLEANVINE MAYNARD and KADEEM MAYNARD, as well as that of Fahie.
Rumours continue to circulate regarding Fahie's alleged cooperation with US law enforcement agencies, involving his testimony against criminal activities of governmental leaders in other East Caribbean countries, but there have not been any additional indictments in the case to date. Given that the Government does not appear to be in a hurry to move the case to trial, and he remains under house arrest (home confinement), such rumours would appear more likely to be true than false. A number of Caribbean leaders are said to be concerned about his probable cooperation.
