ALEX SAAB MORAN - READ THE COMPLETE TEXT OF THE ELEVENTH CIRCUIT DECISION

 

The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Saab's attorneys' appeal of the trial court's decision, which found that his counsel could not contest a finding of fugitive status, due to the Fugitive Disentitlement Doctrine, was now moot, as Saab was now in US custody. The Court Remanded the case back down to the trial court, on the issue of whether Saab was a foreign diplomat, which would render him immune from prosecution for money laundering.
