PAKISTAN FINES TEN BANKS FOR AML/CFT VIOLATIONS




The State Bank of Pakistan has imposed significant fines upon ten private banks, alleging violations of Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism, and foreign exchange, regulations. The banks fined have been ordered t make improvement to prevent a return of the violations. The specific amount of the fines was not published.
