THREE FRENCH NATIONALS ARRESTED IN MOROOCCO ACCUSED OF TERRORIST FINANCING FOR ISIS



Moroccan nationals who have conducted attacks in Europe

Law enforcement authorities in Morocco have announced that they have arrested three French nationals on suspicion of acting as terrorist financiers for ISIS. The were taken into custody in Salé, near Rabat; one of the suspects is reportedly of Algerian origin. The individuals have not been publicly identified, but Government sources told media that the suspects had forged close tied with ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

The individuals were engaged in fundraising in extremist circles; the investigation continues, according to the statement, to seek out any possible co-conspirators. Terrorist attacks inside Morocco have been very rare, but Moroccan extremists have conducted attacks in France, Belgium and Spain.
