Carlos Sousa-Lennox, with MF lawyer Josette Roquebert*

You may know this man; His name is Carlos Sousa-Lennox, and earlier this year, as the designated spokesman for the Panama law Firm of Mossack and Fonseca, he passed out press releases, but refused to answer questions, when the Panama Papers scandal fatally marked the law firm as a facilitator of money laundering & tax evasion. At that time, he held the title, at Mossack, of Marketing and Sales Director.

Soussa-Lennox, who was a Minister of State in a former Panamanian Government, and held the post of  Minister of Agricultural Development, has tried to hide his dark past at Mossack Fonseca. His publicly-available biography, as can be accessed now on LinkedIn, completely omits his years with Mossack. Instead, he claims he was a consultant, and independent advisor, during that period; this is nonsense.

Furthermore, he has attempted to subtly modify his name. Now, he shows up as "Ing. [meaning engineer] Carlos Alonso Sousa-Lennox." His full name is : Carlos Sousa-Lennox Martinez.

Was he involved in the formation of shell companies at Mossack ? You bet he was. ICIJ records list him as an intermediary of six companies, in 2010, 20134, and 2014. As you can see, it's not just the lawyers who are trying to hide their Mossack employment history.
* Roquebert's title at Mossack Fonseca is Chief of Companies.
